I guess I'm not sure why you are saying that - while the waveform is
not symmetric about 0V, it has both negative and positive parts, so
it's hard to tell from looking at it what its average is, no?  And
given how you generated it, the average (which is the DC offset) must
be zero.

On the other hand the average of its cube (for example) is not zero,
which is what I was getting at above.
