Forgive me for posting again here, but I had no response in the 'General' forum, and the post has now scrolled off the bottom. I'm assuming that there are more users of linear power supplies in this Audiohphile section.
Having just built my PSU, I am somewhat concerned by how hot it gets, even with the SB in standby. Measuring the temperature inside the case gives 41C. Is that about normal ? Would it generate less heat if I cut the links to those sensing terminals ? Is it worth fitting a mains power switch for safety's sake ?
