Speaking of Head-Fi, I got a Zhalou 1.3 yesterday. At under 200 USD shipped (used)- I couldn't resist the impulse. It does atmosphere far better than the analog out's of the SB, and seems to have more controlled bass and extended treble. I preferred the rhythmic drive and sound of wood blocks on the SB though :-) I didn't tap my toes, but did listen to all my music again. The DAC made the PS upgrade seem like a 'think I can hear' event.
It has balanced outputs, which I'm anxious to try with something. Another convenient feature is the opamp sockets (3). Build quality is poor, and the power inlet it booty. If I had it to do over I'd probably get a DAC-60 from LiTe or the Storm Digital battery powered.
