Huh... Within $1K price range Lavry and Stello are my major candidates. The problem with Stello is lack of information. I don't have an opportunity to hear it myself before I buy it, and even if I could, I don't entirely believe to my first impression, which is too subjective. So I want to know how good the design is, the parts, it's way of jitter handling, etc. Looks like Stello guys find it too irrelevant for an average Joe...
