If I understand Hugh (the developer of the plugin) correctly the eq interface is just a final tweaking interface. You'll have to generate a full room-correction filter first which can have an arbitrary number of bands and adjustments. Audio will get piped through that filter first, then you can further tweak with his 9-band eq. So it is, indeed, as capable as the behringer unit.
