Another consideration, I'm partial to having physical knobs to twiddle in real-time. Comes from a music recording background and working at TV stations for years.
Perhaps the plug-in is more capable than I thought initially. Nonetheless, I was able to satisfy myself that the Behringer monitoring hardware was a decent purchase.
