What a post for my first on this board. I sprung for an SB3 a few weeks back to drive one of my headphone setups, and have been very impressed with it's sound quality. I was planning to get two more, one for my other headphone setup, and one for my Meridian-based main audio setup. The Transporter is a better choice for the Meridian setup - integrates into the audio rack better, and nearly halves the SPDIF jitter of the SB3 (unfortunately, coax SPDIF is the only way to get digital into the Meridian G68 processor I use). I am partway into the design phase of a web browser based solution that would allow me to use JR MediaCenter as the back end (JRMC is the only tool I've found with enough DB/Search extensibility to allow really decent capture and browsing of classical metadata).
