However, as I mentioned in a later post, this is exactly how I would NOT want it to work. I want volume control to be the default mode for the knob, because I adjust volume much more frequently than I select an album to listen to. (I suspect most other users would do the same, at least those who will use the device as a preamp.) Someone else suggested that the choice of behavior could be software configurable, which would seem like the right solution.
