I think Slim made a questionable decision to have a single knob. If customers plan to use Transporter without a preamp, a dedicated volume knob would be highly desirable. (A volume knob would not need all the haptics.) Admittedly, this is a tough call, because nobody really knows how many people want to use it with vs. without a preamp. And if the remote control is intended to be the main input method rather than the front panel, why not put the multi-function knob on the remote? -- TiredLegs ------------------------------------------------------------------------ TiredLegs's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=6201 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=25773 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
