Well, I think we all know about the placebo effect.
The reason I asked if the CEO knew something was to find out if you had
actually done the scientific experiment, or not. Or are you just
assuming it can't be true? One common fallacy is to write off
everything as "placebo" because one can't be bothered to investigate
further. Personally I keep an open mind until the experiment has been
done.

BTW, is the performance of the Transporter based on the placebo effect
too?
