Sorry to say - ripping to wav is the wrong way. Wav has no tags- you will not be able to build a structured database, i.e. you won't find anything, you will not be able to discriminate between certain pieces of music. With an SB flac is the way to go. Furthermore, iTunes ripping capability is ..ahem subpar. With worn Cd's you will have crackles and pops.
