I have to agree. I ordered mine. I thought about the Red Wine mods, and have heard them and like them. But the battery gave me pause from a maintenance point of view (though I believe in the idea), I like the better DACs in the Transporter, and as you say, it's all in one box. I already got my companion SB3, and even though I haven't re-encoded my music to lossless yet (it's mostly 224 AAC), and the SB3 is stock, it already sounds better than my modded Music Hall CD 25. I kind of marvel at just how bad CD players really are. But you know when green pens and isolators affect the sound there really is something seriously wrong with the basic technology of CD players. I say, good riddens to the things. BYW, how do you like your Harbeths? .phil -- pvadbx ------------------------------------------------------------------------ pvadbx's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5719 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=26930 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
