Hi guys,
I have started my 1000+ rip project and I am experiencing an immediate
backlash, which discourages me a bit.
I am using EAC in safe mode (as described in the beginner's guide on
the wiki) + FLAC + accurate rip.

I got through about 25 CDs and then I tried to listen to a sample.
(Michael Brecker's Nearness of You, but that is beyond the point I
guess).

The voice comes out really distorted. The sung "S"s and the "F"s in
particular, are hurting my ears.

Playing the CD track on my CD player, I can hear the music with no
distortion.

I guess it's a gain problem, although I didn't expect it from a modern
jazz album with little to moderate dynamics...

What to do?
Do I have to foobar my whole collection? What is the actual procedure?
Is it going to take half my lifetime to go through 1000 CDs?

Can I plug in foobar or similar to my EAC so I make the rip a one-step
operation?

Could my problem be something else?

thanks in advance
Victor
