Notwithstanding the educational value of trying it, unless your headphone amp has balanced inputs, it's probably not a good idea to use the balanced outputs. You would need a _very_ low noise active balun circuit (super regs etc) in order to approach what's coming from transporters RCA outputs. However, if you're picking up a ton of noise due to having an unbalanced run, then maybe look into it.
