I'm looking at maximising the benefit a get from my Transporter. I have a headphone amp set-up in a different room from where the Transporter will live with my main system (which will be driven from the unbalanced outputs).
I'm considering running long balanced cables from the Transporter to the other room then driving the headphone amp with some sort of balanced to unbalanced converter (any ideas?). I'm also thinking that I can use my SB2 in the headphone room as a display and remote controller if I sync it with the Transporter. Does anyone see any flaws in my thinking? How long can the balanced cables be?
