The fancy DAC isn't the only advantage the Transporter offers. The Transporter also has exceptionally low-jitter digital outputs, and is apparently audibly less likely to inject noise into downstream components. Feeding the same system digitally, the Transporter sounds dramatically better to me than an SB3 did.
