To be honest I was naively hoping that internet radio might be better
than my FM4 (as I had hoped with DAB). Radio 3 is about the only decent
quality broadcast on UK FM radio that I know of. Most FM stations are
appalling. And even BBC3 lacks the high frequencies (due to the FM
specification) that are so audible on CD - it just so happens that they
aren't very prevalent on classical music so it doesn't matter. I guess
DAB in theory could be quite good sound quality but in practice is
pretty rubbish, at least in the UK. There must be some decent quality
internet stations - just have to find them - and then hope they are
good music too!
