I had random issues with the buttons on the front of my transporter. It seemed the ribbon that connects the display to the main board had been displaced in transit.
I reseated the ribbon and it's all working fine now. One thing I did notice is that this ribbon is taped down to the base of the unit - but on mine the ribbon was not taped down straight and was therefore putting a little uneven pressure on the connector. The tape peels off easy enough so check this also. It's a dead easy job to check - much better than being without your fantastic new toy for a few days!
