In the UK and EU the nominal supply is actually 230V - see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mains_electricity
> Following voltage harmonisation co-ordinated with CENELEC countries, all > electricity supply within the EU is now nominally 230 V ± 10% (though > some countries have stricter specifications: for example, the UK > specifies 230 V +10% −6%). So all stuff for the UK or EU should work anywhere in the EU or Australia (or much of non-Japan Far East). For certain products, such as power amps, the total power may vary with input voltage, but a 10% difference in power output is less than a decibel, so unlikely to be audible. -- adamslim SB3 and Shanling CDT-100, Rotel RT-990BX, Esoteric Audio Research 859, Living Voice Auditorium IIs, Nordost cables ------------------------------------------------------------------------ adamslim's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7355 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=28797 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
