RoHS, if you don't know, stands for "Restriction of Hazardous Substances" and is an EU single market directive (ie. a rule imposed on everyone by faceless and unaccountable bureaucrats in Brussels) that came into force on 1st July. It basically bans certain substances in electrical and electronic devices. So perhaps Squeezeboxes and Transporters have something in them which could give little Johnny a tummyache if he ate half a dozen of them. (Funny thing is, I had no problem buying some components from RS recently that are not RoHS compliant. Perhaps stock that's already in Europe may continue to be sold, but importing new stuff gets blocked - anyone know more about this?).
