It may be that by restricting the dbms from general purpose to a
specific audio content management solution they can perform
optimisations that allow much faster traversal and access to data. You
can often make substantial speed-ups if you limit the number of ways
data can be accessed. It's unlikley it would make much difference over
a well-designed general purpose engine though.
