I also suspect that this could be the case. I use a Blue Circle Mr1200
Balanced power conditioner daisy chained to a Furman Power Factor Pro
power conditioner, to which I plug both my SB3 and my digital amplifier
Panny XR55. The difference between the modded Elpac and the stock PS is
subtle. But I think it was worth the trouble. The Stock PS sounds a
little thin. The Modded Elpac sounds 'fuller', a little 'warmer' and
seems that the 'tone' of the instruments is a little more right.
This is the reason, I think, most people hearing better sound with the
Elpac have dirty power supply to start with.
