I like the idea of trying this, but have two questions:

- Is it worth doing if I have poor speaker placement? At present I
have monitor speakers spread 17' apart, and my listening position is
much closer to one speaker than the other. My amp doesn't have a
balance control, so I am stuck with a poor soundstage (although I might
not have a good one even with a balance control, but at least I'd hear
the channels equally). I asked a few months ago and was told that the
Inguz software will not perform balance correction. I could put the
measurement microphone at either my current listening position or at
the ideal position. How much of the improvements depend on already
having good speaker placement?

- I have none of the measuring equipment and no one local to share the
expense with. Would it be better to just buy the Behringer, even
though it doesn't do time and phase correction (if I have that right,
totoro)?
