Hi,
Not quite a true audiophile question but here goes. As info I'm based
in the UK.

I have a conservatory, roughly 5m by 5m with a wooden floor so as a
room it is pretty sonically challenged. I have a Squeezebox 3 to go
into the room but could do with some opinions (the more the merrier) of
how to go about linking the SB3 into some form of amplifier and
speakers.

This is going to be a lifestyle room so the minimum of cabling and
hi-fi impact is paramount and preferably white. Also trying not to add
an amp in the equation so really looking at active speakers (budget is
up to £500) only.

Some of the things I've been looking at are

Bose Acoustimass 3 (expensive, mixed reviews, there could be other
systems out there cheaper and better, needs an amp!)

Acoustic Energy Aego M (very good reviews, cheap, will they be
powerful enough)

JM Focal Labs icub (can't seem to find a supplier, expensive but rave
reviews)

Yamaha YSP800 (single AV speaker, good reviews for AV, like the idea of
a single speaker (well 26 integral speakers), minimal wiring, easy to
move round room as furniture moved for summer/winter living)

Genelec 8020

Any comments on these speakers or alternatives?
