I not only went through Meridians.   I went through Krell and Parasound
amps too.  Also had EAR tube gear.

Personally, I much prefer my BelCantos and TACT BOZ amps.  I do,
however, use the TACT TCS MKII and RCS2.2.XP, so the sound of my system
is greatly affected at the preamp level.   

I think some of the bad press is b/c of some of the bad examples of
Class D out there.  Also, the 1000w Icepower modules have slight roll
off on the high end, which some people do not like.  Some people also
just don't like the idea that the future is here.  

There have been some glowing reviews of Class D amps, so I'd take a
listen for yourself.  Personally, I'll never go back
to traditional SS or tube gear.
