ob, If I understand the purpose of the attenuator would I then be able to have the SB volume on max, thereby improving the the S/N ratio while being able to lower the volume with the attenuator?
If so the only challenge I face with that is that I am constantly adjusting volume for many number of reasons and getting up to do so may not work that great. One last point I forgot to mention is the question of the quality of the pre in the HK receiver. If it is not that great would that not adversly affect the sound as well?
