Not sure. When I experimented with using a one ohm resistor the SB sometimes didn't start. Perhaps because before current is drawn the voltage will be 6.2 volts, and perhaps the SB can sense over-voltage? The experiment was inconclusive on sound quality, BTW. I'm pretty sure the sound was different, but couldn't decide which was better.
