My point is that you are making an argument by analogy, which isn't a
valid argument.
None of the sceptics I know are actually of the "we know all there is
to know, and if this doesn't fit with our theory, it must be wrong,
empirical evidence be damned" sort you seem to be claiming.
I keep harping on this, but expecting to see empirical tests which
demonstrate that a product _does something_ is not claiming to have an
answer to life the universe and everything. The lack of humility,
frankly is pretty heavy on the other side ("my descirning ears can hear
things in my system that you, with your tin ear and shoddy system could
never hear", etc, etc).
