WMA lossless locks you to the Windows platform - this may or may not be a problem for you. WMA lossless is proprietary software. FLAC is decoded in the SB3, not on the server, so you will get a benefit in less network traffic. FLAC is supported on a wide range of environments (Windows, Linux, MacOS). There was a discussion whether WMA lossless is really lossless. I don't remember what the result of that discussion was, but it should be simple to test. I did this with FLAC; I converted a wav file to flac and then back to wav. The end result was identical to the original wav file. -- tomsi42 SB3, Rotel RC-1070/RB-1070, dynaBel Exact, Kimber Kable 4TC and Timbre. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ tomsi42's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2477 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=30005 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
