Jeff, Typically the issue with high latency is that the music drops out periodically - i.e. the connections are still there, but the new data does not get there in time.
I guess that if the delays were really long, the TCP connections would time out and have to be reconnected, but this almost sounds like periods of data loss - how often does it happen?
