...oh, and I forgot to add : I listened to it in 3 configurations 1. Using an active preamp [the Adcom was rated 'stereophile classA', and sounds good despite the rating ;-). Someone told me it was a Nelson-pass designed ClassA single stage, but it sounds so good that I am yet to open it up ;-)]
2. Using a passive preamp [the adcom also has a passive mode, that sounds quite terrible...in comparison to...> ] 3.
