In that case it's surprising he prefers the sound of the CD-1, as it is
almost certainly more distorted going through the Lex (due to the
additional D->A and A->D) than the digital out of the SB.  

It just goes to show, once again, that percieved quality in non-blind
tests has much more to do with expectations than it does with the
intrinsic character of the sound.
