In my opinion, yes. You should only use the wall wart if you know that the AC supply to it is isolated from other components. Otherwise noise from the wall wart will feed back into the other AC components plugged into the conditioner, contaminating their power. Some conditioners do a better job of preventing interactions between the components plugged into them than others, but even then often don't have very effective isolation in the 100-500 kilohertz range that switching power supplies operate in.
