Well that sounds like an authoratative source, but I wonder if the remote could be custom mapped to toggle the setting? I took a peek in the folders KDF mentioned as holding modules that are valid for use*, but didn't see anything that looked like a phase toggle.
BTW, even toggling won't be instantaneous due to the buffer.
