Sorry, I should have been clearer. Most DVD-A's have MLP 2 Channel 24/192 or 5.1 24/96 on the "DVD-A" side. They also often have DTS 5.1 and 24/96 LPCM on the DVD-V side. I have no problem getting the DTS/AC3 stuff off. But a few DVD-A's that are strictly 2 channel (i.e. 2 channel MLP 24/192 on DVD-A side and 2 channel LPCM 24/96 on the DVD-V side) that I can't get off the disc (I get garbage).
The 24/96 LPCM makes much more sense for the Sqeezebox. Mixing down 5.1 MLP will sound like crap. So doing a search for MLP won't be of much help. I'm also not interested in borrowing MLP tracks from someone that's already ripped them. As well as anything that involves "bittorent" will end up in a PC rebuild by the time your done for the unseasoned user. Also why fight with MLP when the DVD-V side has 24/96 LPCM most of the time. So what's a reliable tool for getting the 2-Channel LPCM 24/96 off the DVD-V side of a DVD-A disc? Which I assume is the most common source of material discussed in this thread. -- mswlogo ------------------------------------------------------------------------ mswlogo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9090 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=29059 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
