Is anyone using the SB3 with a Cyrus DAC X? I found a post on here indicating that it does not work, but have also seen some posts with setups that seem to include it.
Am awaiting delivery of a new Cyrus 8vs amp and am not (yet) conviced the SB3's on-board DAC will quite live up to the demo experience of hearing the amp with Cyrus' CD6 player. I'll give it a go when it arrives, but thinking I might need to go for the external DAC. To add further confusion, I also like the look of the Benchmark DAC1, which quite a lot of people seem to be using - though the DAC X will probably give me closest thing to the CD6, the sound of which I did really like. Or, do I just buy a transporter??? Appreciate any opinions as I seem to have got myslef to the point where decision making is hard :).
