I too have a DAC-X and have no issues with it and the SB3 - Cyrus have upgraded the DAC-X a couple of times to fix issues with compatibility since its release. I don't believe there ever was and issue with SB2/3, but there was with SB1, due to its less accurate clock.
The DAC-X sounds very good (much better than the CD6), and I love that I can also feed my digibox and dvd player through it (wouldn't have bought it otherwise).
