Seems like I read something about the tolerance of wire twist being a good indicator of quality, but I can't recall if the difference was between category or manufacturers. Anyway, if the cable is carrying audio signals I would think quality matters as opposed to tcp/ip, not that I know whether a set of balanced cables having one 6" longer would sound/measure differently... Another interesting tidbit I read was the idea of using rj45 and cat5 as an external i2s interface, perhaps one application where I might order Belkin etc (if it would even work and i didn't read incorrectly!). -- Skunk ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Skunk's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2685 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=31080 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
