Do the opposite of what you were planning and you should be fine. I.e. reduce the integrated's volume so the SB can be used at it's upper limit, and can in fact be on max volume without blowing your speakers. If you want to get the most of SB (critical listening), digital volume goes on 100, no 'preamp attenuation', no replaygain, and all adjustments to volume done with the integrated. Don't feel bad, four volume controls can be hard to get figured :-) I wouldn't recommend 'preamp volume control' which is set in slimserver>audio, AND the digital volume on the remote as they are two different attenuation mechanisms, but I do use digital attenuation daily even though I have an integrated. If the integrated had a remote control I wouldn't use the SB volume. YMMV etc. -- Skunk ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Skunk's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2685 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=31698 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
