Thanks ceejay

My reason for going down the Qnap route is that I didn't want one of my
PCs running all the time. I didn't have a quiet low spec machine and the
Qnap was a simple solution that allowed me to stream to the SB3 and plug
AlienBBC stuff.

Once up and running ok ... I won't be looking to regularly update it.

A patch has been released (I've just been told) to resolve the
clicking.

I've also decided I will encode everything again in FLAC rather than
Lossless AAC.

I've tried AutoFlac with the latest EAC and FLAC encoder. It works
really well. The only thing I found is that it didn't populate the ID3
tags properly - Everything apart from Track came back as null which is
odd because I followed the AutoFlac / EAC set up verbatim.

The only outstanding issue the question around why the SB3 switched off
mid track the other day .... and came back on by pressing the red button
on the remote. The network is very good.

Paul.
