I reported exactly the same issue in http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=32045. My problem is exactly correlated to brightness display as indicated in my post. I am going to add -20dB attenuators because it is directly connected to my power amp. I am hoping this will attenuate the problem noise as well. Could you describe your system configuration? Are you, by chance connecting to a power amp directly without a preamp? Are you by chance mismatched in your line levels?
