Hey, this is fun :)  I suspect that CD correction is not inaudible
(otherwise, why not use it for compression, none of this messing with
FLAC and MP42).  However, I have no evidence for this, thoughts
welcome.

So you found sonic differences on identical files, indicating that
there is an audible difference in how the SB3 (?) decodes lossless
files?  That is an interesting conclusion.

Please excuse me if I say, in the nicest possible way, that I love
flame wars.  I'd greatly appreciate any comments that people have on
