Note the business unit name that they've given the old Slim Devices:
"Streaming Media Systems".  I suspect that SD will be tasked with
producing any number of new streaming products, including those that do
video.

Since the buyout, all of the former employees of SD have been
conspicuously absent from these forums.  Sean is the only one that
pokes his head in from time to time.  Dean Blackletter has all but
disappeared.  And at the same time development on SlimServer has slowed
to a crawl.

I suspect there's a lot going on at the former SD.  I just hope that
it'll be beneficial to current product owners.  We'll have to see, but
I'm betting soon there will be some product announcements and new
directions that will be a little unsettling to the audiophile crowd.
