Day 2 of owning a Denon AVR-3806 A/V receiver and Kef 3000 speakers, and
I'm facing teething problems. This is the first time Ive owned anything
like this, but like any kid with a new toy I just want to jump right in
and start using the thing. I'm sure I'll get very familiar with the
manual over the next few days but right now I'm wondering if anyone has
anything similar hooked up to an sb3 that can give me some pointers.
I've tried connecting the sb3 with analogue and optical and the optical
sound is much better than that from the analogue one (flat/quiet) is
that to be expected? I had the analogue going in to the CD in
connectors. Also, does anyone have any advise on how to compromise with
speaker placement considering this setup needs to work for tv and music?
Ive placed the front speakers either side of the tv (as shown in
manual), but listening to music like this it sounds kinda narrow - that
could very well be down to the way Ive set it up though? I'm running
flac through the sb3

Cheers
Alex
