Jan My SB3 digital OUT feeds the Altmann Attraction DAC (full monty version with JISCO). I am very happy with the sound - very natural, lifelike, analog-sounding. Mind you, my Altmann is not even using a sealed lead acid battery which Charles Altmann recommends to sound its best. Instead, I use a AC-DC convertor to power the Altmann. I briefly powered the Altmann with a small SLA (10 Ah) but the battery "died" shortly after I deeply drained the battery. I would also like to say how pleased I am with the SB3. Its definitely a huge leap up from my universal DVD player. At the moment I am just enjoying the music from the duo (SB3 and Altmann) and feel no real need to mod or upgrade!
