I think I'll go for the audition route and buy them elsewhere. The 700s are way out of my budget - which is about £400. I may take my current speakers along so I can get an idea of their sound in the demo room, then listen to a range.
I'm going to go for floorstanders, even though I have good stands at the moment. I'm assuming that floorstanders would sound better than a similar bookshelf model + stands.
