I made the same experiences some weeks ago and wrote a short description at "http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=32661&page=3 ". I have enough disk place, therefore I store both formats and use them both with my SB3, but I prefere WAV. It seems to me that the major tags I add with the Maniac MP3TAG tool are also recognized by the slimserver, therefore I see - except the disk space - not such a big advantage with flac.
