Has anyone tried 'the Trends Audio TA-10 (or 10.1) amp' (http://www.trendsaudio.com/EN/Product/TA-10_desc.htm)? It seems like a great fit for the Squeezebox. It can be jumpered to bypass the volume control and simply be a power amp. I've ordered one so will be trying it out.
It's a Tripath "Class T" amplifier, like the $30 Sonic Impact T-amp that has had some people swooning over it as a giant killer (others are more skeptical). The TA-10.1 is a much better put together unit, with better components and power supply, for the heady price of $120 or so. 'Here' (http://www.6moons.com/audioreviews/trends/ta10.html) is a review, though it often seems like it's hard to find reviews that don't say every piece of equipment is superb. I -won't- be producing a detailed audiophile type review of it, but I am interested to hear if anyone else has tried one. Ultimately, it will live on top of the kitchen cabinets along with the Squeezebox and speakers, so it's doomed for a less-than audiophile life :). However, if it's cheap -and- good quality, then I can't lose. -- jimmyfergus ------------------------------------------------------------------------ jimmyfergus's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4323 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=33112 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
