OK done some testing.
First I tried decoding the Friedman flac files to wav format using flac
1.1.3 with FLAC frontend. This gave me an error message and no wav file,
so I then tried ticking the "Decode through errors" option. This
produced the same error messages, but also wav files.
These files play perfectly on my SB3, and is being reported as 24 bit
96kHz at 4600kbps.
Then i tried encoding these wav files back to flac, and the new flacs
also play just fine with no stuttering. Interestingely these files are
a few MB larger than the original flacs.
The error messages was complaining about end of stream corruption, and
MD5 signature mismatch. This indicates a corrupt flac, probably due to
encoding error or corruption during download.
