I have a Paradisea with the SB3, Krell amp, Vienna Acoustics Speakers. I'm not going to exaggerate. With A-B testing between the SB3 DAC and the Paradisea, the average listener would not notice the difference. To me, the biggest difference is with the lower frequencies which sound stronger and more clear with the Paradisea. The highs are slightly less harsh as well.
I also have a Transporter. The difference from the Paradisea to Transporter is greater than between the SB3 and Paradisea. The level of clarity is the most noticeable change with bass precision second. I can more easily hear the distinct instruments and voices from the TP rather than the relative composite sound of the the SB3 or Paradisea.
